Counting Our Blessings

Developing gratitude through 19 short chapters focusing on everyday situations

‘. . . be thou of the thankful . . .’ From the Bahá’í Writings

Gratitude, or thankfulness, is a power which can be drawn upon to radically improve our lives and circumstances and has been recommended over the centuries by the world’s great thinkers, philosophers and spiritual leaders.

Quotations from scripture, in particular the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith, illuminate our understanding of the great and time-honoured principle of counting our blessings. The reader is encouraged to carry out daily practices and to keep a journal of them. ‘These practices will start to have innumerable beneficial influences on all aspects of your life’, writes Colin Rodgers, ‘. . . your relationships, your health, your finances, your family, your faith, your relationship with God.’
