Building Vibrant Communities
Accompanying one another on a path of service and consultation are the major themes explored in Building Vibrant Communities.

In the context of these themes, participants explore concepts such as the nature of the path of service; the relationship among the individual, community and institutions of the Cause; attitudes to accompaniment; true friendship; the nature of interactions in the context of accompaniment; encouragement; coherence between 'being' and 'doing'; a posture of learning; and learning sites. They also learn about the importance and characteristics of Bahá'í consultation, especially as compared with secular decision-making processes; and the importance of unity of vision and action.

Participants then explore the application of accompaniment and consultation in the context of service on Bahá'í Administrative agencies and institutions, with a specific focus on service on an Area Teaching Committee.

Service Outcomes
The capacities built include those of engaging in accompaniment, Bahá'í consultation, and serving as a member of an Area Teaching Committee.

What is the Ruhi Institute sequence of courses?

Bahá'ís and likeminded friends are engaged in a global process of learning, to build their capacity to apply the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh to the transformation of society. As a contribution to this learning process, the Ruhi Institute has developed programs and materials that enhance the capacity of individuals and communities to serve humanity. Enhancing such capacity in the individual can be likened to walking a path of service.

What is a Study Circle?

A study circle begins whenever two or more individuals are ready to engage in the study of one of the courses of the Ruhi Institute. Participants in the study circle are led by a tutor whose role is not to act as an expert but as a facilitator. Participants in study circles are active participants in their own learning process.
