This is a pocket-sized edition of Selections from the Writings of the Báb which contains a number of the Báb's tablets and addresses: the Qayyúm al-asmá (the Báb's commentary on the Surih of Joseph from the Qur'an); the Persian Bayan; the Dalá'il-i-Sab'ih (Seven Proofs); the Kitáb-i-Asmá (Book of Names); and various other writings, prayers, and meditations.

Selections from the Writings of the Báb was first issued in 1976 in a hardcover edition by the Bahá'í World Centre, Haifa, Israel. A lightweight edition with an index was issued in 1982. This pocket-sized edition includes paragraph numbering, and is published with the permission of the Bahá'í World Centre.
