Bahá’í International Development Organisation

The Bahá’í International Development Organisation is an institution which was established by the Universal House of Justice in 2019. Its primary purpose is to facilitate learning about development by fostering and supporting action, reflection on action, study, consultation, the gathering and systematization of experience, conceptualization, and training—all carried out in the light of the Teachings of the Bahá’í Faith. It succeeded the Office of Social and Economic Development, established in 1983, which oversaw the promotion and coordination of social and economic development efforts of the Bahá’í community.
