Baher Forghani was born and educated in Iran, receiving his degree in pharmacy from Teheran University. In 1971 he left Iran with his family and since then until 1989 he lived in various Bahá'í communities and worked in the pharmaceutical industry in Australia. From 1989 to 2003, Baher Forghani and his wife resided in the Holy Land serving at the World Centre of the Bahá'í Faith. Since returning to Australia in 2003, he has been engaged in research into the Bahá'í writings, translation of Bahá'í literature, giving lectures and writing articles on subjects related to the Bahá'í Faith and participating in local Bahá'í activities.
