Distributing with Baha'i Books
The Baha'i Books website serves as a distribution channel for Bahá'í inspired materials, using print-on-demand, digital links, and affiliate links.
Print-on-demand
Distribution of titles published using print-on-demand services constitutes the primary service provided by BDS. Published titles that have passed Bahá'í Review are submitted to BDS and assessed for suitability. If accepted, an agreement between the creator and BDS is established, documenting the recommended retail price, royalty payment, and respective rights and responsibilities. A web page is created, providing details of the title. Orders made through the Baha'i Books website are printed and dispatched immediately by means of an automated system.
Digital Links
Published titles that have passed Bahá'í Review are submitted to BDS and assessed for suitability. If accepted, a product page can be created that contains links to digital platforms such as Kindle, iBooks and others. BDS does not sell digital editions of books directly; however, digital links enable Baha'i Books customers to easily purchase and read titles on their favourite digital device.
Affiliate Links
Published titles that have passed Bahá'í Review can be submitted to BDS and assessed for suitability. If accepted, a product page can be created that contains an affiliate link to Book Depository. If you have self-published with major platforms such as IngramSpark or CreateSpace, or published with a publisher that distributes books to Book Depository, then a product page with an affiliate link will allow Baha'i Books customers to see your title, and purchase it via the affiliate link at Book Depository.
It is the policy of the National Spiritual Assembly that all products referring to the Bahá'í Faith must be submitted for Bahá'í Review, to ensure accuracy and dignity in the presentation of the Faith. Items can be submitted for review through the national secretariat at secretariat@bnc.bahai.org.au.
