Bahá'í Distribution Services (BDS) and Bahá'í Publications Australia (BPA) are the distribution and publication businesses of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Australia Inc. (ABN 71 174 672 086), and are overseen by the Distribution and Publication Board. The Board seeks to learn about: the changing conditions and needs for the provision of literature and materials for the advancement of the Faith at the grass-roots; to refine systems for the production and distribution of literature and materials; and to raise teams of individuals skilled in publication and distribution.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

We respect your right to privacy under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and comply with the Australian Privacy Principles in respect of the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.

Personal information about our customers, including your name, address, telephone number and other personal details will be used to provide service to you, and for general business administration. Your personal information will not be released to anyone other than necessary to fulfil your order. We provide your personal information to BDS suppliers and delivery services who operate on behalf of BDS for the purposes of delivering items to you and to allow for the tracking of dispatched orders. We do not rent or sell any personal information.

If you subscribe to our email newsletter you may at any time unsubscribe via a link on the newsletter.

If you have downloaded a digital file either for free or paid, then we also request your personal details, for the specific purpose of understanding the needs of the population we are serving.

We will take reasonable steps to protect personal information collected on this website from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, and modification or disclosure to unauthorised persons. The personal information obtained by BDS is stored electronically by third-party services contracted by the National Spiritual Assembly. The services contracted include Shopify for eCommerce, PayPal as a payment gateway, and DEAR System for inventory and customer management

Australian-based services are bound to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles. Data managed by Shopify is stored on a secure server behind a firewall.

REFUND POLICY

If the purchased item does not match its description on our website then you are entitled to a refund. If the purchased item arrived in a damaged state then you are entitled to a replacement. In both instances, you must notify us within 14 days of receipt of the item, otherwise, we cannot refund or replace the item. Please contact the distribution service via bds@bahai.org.au, include a description of your concerns, photos of the purchased items, and the order number from the email receipt that was emailed to you. Please do not return your items to the logistics service. 

We are not required, and do not offer a credit or refund to you, if you simply change your mind on any items purchased, or you have made a mistake in your ordering.

The Bahá'í Distributions Services is compliant with Australian Consumer Law.

 

 

DELIVERY, FEES, AND CHARGES

This service delivers to Australia only. Please note that it is your responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. Any shipment that is delayed or lost and is found to have had incorrect and/or insufficient delivery address details provided by you, will not be the responsibility of, or covered by, BDS.

Typical delivery times for warehouse orders are 2-3 working days for capital cities on the eastern side of Australia and 5-7 working days for most destinations within Australia. Typical delivery times for print-on-demand orders are 5-7 working days.

For items dispatched directly by third-party suppliers (drop-ship items), the delivery costs are included in the advertised price of the item. Typical delivery times for drop-ship orders are three working days to dispatch and 5-7 working days for delivery.

DISTRIBUTION MODEL

Bahá'i Distribution Services orders are fulfilled by print-on-demand services located in Melbourne, drop-ship services by independent suppliers across Australia, and warehouse services located in Sydney.
