The twelfth book in the main sequence of courses offered by the Ruhi Institute focuses on the family as a fundamental and indispensable unit of society and the mainstay of community life.
The first unit touches on the basic concepts that pertain to Bahá’í marriage including Bahá’u’lláh’s exhortation to marry and bear children, the sex impulse, true love, jealousy, the manifestation of love in the institution of marriage, the investigation of character prior to marriage, the factors that contribute to character, friendship between spouses, communication patterns, values and coherence, consent from parents, engagement, dowry, vows, and the implications of abiding by the will of God.
