Kitáb-i-Aqdas
The Kitáb-i-Aqdas is Bahá’u’lláh’s book of laws, written in Arabic around 1873. In it, Bahá’u’lláh sets out laws in relation to diverse areas of life including prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, aesthetics, weapons control, sanitation, penal law, and the need for an auxiliary, international language, as well as the great issues that are the dominant concerns of all Bahá'u'lláh's Writings and of contemporary society: justice, government, law, liberty, belief, education, family, and the promotion of civilization.
