Releasing the spirit of Bahá'í youth
When youth of today survey the world around them, it is impossible not to notice the alarming effects of the accelerating disintegration of society. Bombarded by unspeakable acts of school violence; widespread promiscuity; alcohol and drug abuse; environmental degradation; the pernicious effects of racism, sexism, and materialism; and the alarming collapse of the family, many young people today suffer from a numbing sense of complacency and powerlessness. The best tool with which youth can arm themselves against such attitudes is the Bahá'í writings. In them they will find spiritual sustenance, inspiration, guidance, and comfort.
This revised and expanded edition of Unrestrained as the Wind includes additional selections from the writings of Bahá'u'lláh, the Báb, 'Abdu'l-Bahá, and Shoghi Effendi as well as new messages from the Universal House of Justice - especially communications that address youth or deal with issues of direct relevance to them. Also included are inspiring stories of young Bahá'ís who have arisen to dedicate their lives to a path of service to the Bahá'í Faith.
Unrestrained as the Wind brings together selections from the Bahá'í writings that provide Bahá'í youth with answers and guidance responding to their unique questions and concerns and will help them to overcome the many spiritual challenges they face today.
