Time and the Bahá’í Era, 2nd Ed.

The Study of the Badí’ Calendar

Rooted in the revealed writings of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh, this pioneering study delves into the historical origins and rich symbolism of the Badíʿ calendar, revealing dimensions of the Faith that have hitherto remained unexplored. Through meticulous research, it illuminates how each month and intercalary day embodies key spiritual principles—transforming what might appear a mere timekeeping device into a living tapestry of Bahá’í teachings.

Beyond its poetic resonance, the book thoughtfully addresses the practical challenges to adopting the Badíʿ calendar on a global scale, offering clear pathways toward its rightful place as a unifying world calendar. More than a scholarly analysis, this volume invites readers to contemplate how the Badíʿ calendar’s creative fusion of symbol and structure can shape both personal devotion and the future rhythms of society, foreshadowing the profound influence it will wield as humanity embraces the emerging World Order envisioned by Bahá’u’lláh.
