Concept of Peace in the Bahá'í Faith

This work examines the concept of peace as the fundamental truth of divine Manifestations, anchoring religion, justice and human concord. Through close analysis of writings by Bahá’u’lláh, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá and Shoghi Effendi, it reveals how peace is presented not merely as an ideal but as the purpose that underpins unity and brotherhood.

This study foregrounds peace within the trilogy of unity, justice and peace through textual exegesis rather than sociological analysis. It unravels core ideological threads and traces the logical, anthropological and ethical development of harmony as the Faith matured. From scriptural declarations of concord to practical advice for governance and community life, each stage is cast in a fresh scholarly light.

By engaging with these foundational texts, an enriched understanding of peace as both personal and social imperative emerges. This intellectual framework enables navigation of contemporary divisions with clarity, while informing moral discourse and catalysing purposeful steps toward global harmony.
